This version includes so many compliance and app store readiness changes, as well as some quality of life improvements.
App Quality Improvements
- Notifications involving a friend, such as a friend request or birthday notification, now open up to that friend’s page in the app
- During setup, the “Name” prompt has been replaced with a “Nickname” prompt that includes examples
- The settings page is now split into multiple sub-pages
Compliance / Store Readiness Features
- Reporting - The user page now includes a report button. When a user is reported, this notifies the developer who will read the report and determine how to address it based on the Code of Conduct
- Blocking - The user page also includes a block button that will prevent that user from interacting with you and make your profile invisible to the blocked user
- Version Check - The app will now check to see whether an update is necessary and prompt the user to update the app if that’s the case.
Bug Fixes
- The total day count was previously incorrect in some cases due to a rounding error in the calculation process; it is now correct
- On a friend’s birthday, the Friends page in the app would show that their birthday is “in a few seconds” instead of “today”; this was fixed
